Beyondo is a genre-bending experimental soul band led by Brooklyn trumpeter, Eric Biondo. Free the twin was originally intended to be a blues record. It has become something totally different while still maintaining the finger print of emotions only heard in blues singing. The secondary vocals are very imitative of a west coast cool horn section and the rhythm section tracks are gritty, patient and short. I hope you enjoy this expose of the inner voice (the twin within).
This record features the talents of Timothy Allen (Hylofi), MiWi La Lupa (Thought, Red Baraat), Michael Leonhart (Avramina 7, Steely Dan), Marcos Garcia (Chico Mann, Antibalas), Jordan McLean (Antibalas), Grey McMurray (Knights On Earth) and Rich Stein (Lauren Hill).
Eric Biondo has also independently contributed his trumpet playing in the studio with bands such as Antibalas, TV on The Radio, Holly Miranda, Passion Pit, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Charlie Hunter Band, and The Monkees.
